Um Muang

Um Muang (also known as Ub Muang, Muang Tomo or Um Tomo) is a small Khmer temple ruin which dates back to the 9th century during the reign of the Khmer king Yasovarman I and dedicated to Rudani, an aspect of Shiva's consort. The temple is immersed in an evocative dipterocarp trees forest and consist of an esplanade bordered by lingams and two crumbling laterite sanctuaries .

It is located at about 45 km south off Route 13 and a road sign (passed the village of Ban Lak Seesip) on the right side will indicate where to turn if you are travelling by road (the dirt road of about 4 km has been recently improved).
It is also possible to reach the site by boat from Pakse or other landing sites like Ban Muang (the boat landing opposite Champasak town) and Champasak town.
